Booking and equipment

So what do I commit to and how does it work?

There are 41 weeks of classes per academic year, taught by Lindsey, with occasional cover from an alternative qualified teacher. Terms run broadly in line with school holidays (see timetable). Classes are in demand so a monthly standing order system operates to ensure you have a space booked and can relax about coming. We like to be as flexible as we can so you can make up for any missed classes during the year (Sept to end Aug), assuming a space is available in any other class on our timetable.

To book please contact Nicky Holliday, administrator for More Than Pilates on 01937 520174 or email her. An  email confirming your class details and payment instructions will be sent to you. If you do not have an email account this can be posted.

Changes to the timetable ... we will give you one month's notice. If you need to cancel please give us one month's written notice too.

PLEASE NOTE: For those new to Pilates we recommend you consider a class trial or private 1:1 session, both payable by cash or BACS.

Of course, you should seek medical clearance before beginning any new exercise, especially if you have any medical problems or are pregnant. Before you start we'll ask you to complete a health questionnaire (download here)Please return to us at the office address: 'Manna Ash', 228 High Street, Boston Spa, LS23 6AD.

Lindsey will happily speak to any medical professional that you are having treatment from if you would like her to, to liaise about the best approach for your body.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your own mat for class - we find this is best for hygiene reasons and personal preference. We recommend a non-slip one of minimum 10mm depth for comfort. It is helpful to have a small cushion or towel for support during some of the exercises. Wear loose comfortable clothing .... the more closely fitted allows your posture to be better seen... but you need to feel comfortable too. You might like to bring a bottle of water. Sometimes we use small 'soft balls' or stretchy bands. These will be provided, together with other equipment, unless you want to bring your own.
